OUR PURPOSE
HyperXite is a student-led project team that participates in the Hyperloop competition. The Hyperloop concept is a concept first popularized by SpaceX in 2013. Our team is currently developing and building the next generation of transportation that is safer, faster, and more energy efficient than cars, planes, boats, or trains. Through researching and developing prototypes, we aim to revolutionize sustainable transportation at a low cost, all with zero gas emissions.
ABOUT US
Established in 2015 at the University of California Irvine, HyperXite is a team of undergraduate students endeavoring to build a Hyperloop pod.
our pod
HyperXite is working to research, design, build, and validate a small-scale pod using a LIM to be tested on the teamβs own test track.
OUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS
HyperXite has established itself as one of the leading university teams in Hyperloop innovation, competing in the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competitions and Hyperloop Global Competitions.
SpaceX Competition I: Reached the semifinals, placing 5th overall in design
SpaceX Competition ll: One of the only air-levitated pods successfully tested inside the Hyperloop track, finishing in the top 6
SpaceX Competition lll & lV: Selected among the top 22 Hyperloop teams to compete in Hawthorne, CA
2025 Canadian Hyperloop Global: Earned 1st place in Guidance System, Levitation, and Presentation, marking HyperXiteβs most successful performances to date
